Regular dental care is essential in maintaining the health of our horses. Dental pathology can result in a multitude of issues including

• Weight Loss
• Colic
• Choke
• Ulceration of the cheeks and tongue
• Head tossing
• Bit resistance

We generally recommend an annual dental examination however young, aged and performance horses may require more frequent treatment. At Equus Vets we perform all our dentals with the use of sedation which facilitates a thorough examination and accurate treatment.

We have a purpose-built crush at our clinic as well as mobile Portasafe stocks to ensure the procedure is carried out efficiently and safely.
