Lameness Diagnosis

Lameness diagnosis can be a complex process and is of special interest at Equus Vets. Following a detailed history and clinical examination, it is usually necessary to perform diagnostic nerve blocks to isolate the source of the lameness. This process can be aided with the Equinosis Lameness Locator.

Our portable imaging equipment means that we can usually reach a diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan on site.

Treatment options include:

  • Joint medications – corticosteroids, sodium hyaluronate (HA), Arthramid.
  • Regenerative therapies – IRAP, PRP, Stem cells.
  • Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy.
